Bike ASMR (maybe) /w a intro and outro comment

I’ll be posting the bike rides in a youtube video for your viewing pleasure. Give a quick little intro for anyone who just happens to stumble upon it and from there a quieter bike video.

Next weeks Challenge will be in the Finance category

Stay tuned to see what I try to take on in a money challenge.

  • Finance challenge: Next week

Staying Motivated

Every challenge is going to be taking on something new and will likely have it’s headwinds. Some things to consider with this weeks challenge.
  • Winter is coming: It is starting to get cold, so not only will it be a challenge of getting to and from work, making sure the experience is not miserable will be another factor.

  • Time and Energy: It is going to take me approximately 50 minutes to work and another 50 minutes back. Plan and snack accordingly.

  • Packing and Clean: Thankfully I have a shower at work, so I’ll be able to freshen up, but I will have to carry all the extras with me.

What I Need
  • Bike, tires pumped, front and rear lights working, bell.

  • Jacket, gloves, spare clothes and a towel.

  • Work laptop and some gumption.

Success

Three days this week

I have the fortunate pleasure of being able to work from home two days of the week. That means I will only have to make the journey to the office three times this week. If I’m able to get there and back safely, that’s the win for the week.

The Backstory: I think it will be an excellent way for me to get my exercise in and as a very minor plus, I’ll save a little money on fuel. In terms of time I’m surprisingly not sacrificing so much. Traffic is terrible in my area and it would be an excellent day if I got to the office in 40-45 minutes, so doing a bike ride in 50 minutes doesn’t seem too bad.

Key Points: I have biked quite a bit before, so this is not a completely unfounded venture. I would like to continue this activity for exercise and training for a future goal, that I’ll keep a secret for now. I don’t have to buy anything to make this challenge happen, but I’d be willing to bet most people have a bike or could get access to one.
